Tutū is a home-based, early childhood education and care service for pre-school children. We are an incorporated society, set up by the Te Matahauariki O Tauranga Moana, Maori Education Service.
Our goal at Tutū is to provide a range of opportunities for preschool aged children and their whānau. We aim to encourage, support and nurture learning at home, a much needed service in this day and age.
Tutū will provide children and Educators with rich learning experiences in a safe learning environment upholding
“Mā te tutū, ka mōhio”.
We recognise the unique abilities of each child and Educator for whom equal opportunities will be provided.
We uphold the principles of Te Tiriti Ō Waitangi and embrace Māori as tangata whenua of Aotearoa.
Te Ao Māori is embedded throughout practice encapsulating whānaungatanga, kotahitanga, manaakitanga and akoranga.
Moemoea - Our Vision
Tutū is an Early Childhood Home-based Service that nurtures and supports holistic learning by embracing positive relationships while upholding whanau and cultural values to provide a platform that inspires and nurtures learning.
